This mask, produced entirely by hand by artists, depicts the face of Hebe, a work by Danish sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen which is now housed in the Thorvaldsens Museum in Copenhagen. Hebe, daughter of Zeus and Hera, according to Greek mythology was the handmaiden of the gods of Olympus, goddess of youth and beauty.
