This elegant and practical French dark walnut towel rack features a classic style inspired by the Napoleon III period. It was crafted between 1870 and 1880 in a workshop in Lyon, a city renowned for producing high-quality furniture and accessories since the 17th century. The woodwork includes finely turned details, which are characteristic of fine craftsmanship. The elegance of the detailing and the use of walnut confirm the quality of this piece: walnut is a premium wood, valued for its durability and beautiful warm color, often used in significant furniture and accessories. The design of this towel rack is distinctive, and the craftsmanship is of high quality, making it an appealing and refined piece both functionally and decoratively. From the photo of the back, you can see that it is designed to be securely mounted on a screw attached to the wall, thanks to the threaded hole in the iron rod.
