We present this elegant ancient Italian drawing dating back to the mid -18th century, Louis XV period. An extremely refined drawer, whose characteristics suggest that it was created in the ebanistic shops of northern Italy, in particular of Liguria. Made of solid carrubo wood. Carob (Ceratonia Siliqua) is an evergreen fruit tree belonging to the legume family. Its fruits, carobs, are flattened and elongated pods, dark brown in color and a sweet taste. This wood was used in ancient times by Italian ebanists, in particular of Liguria, for the production of high quality furniture, highly appreciated for their hardness. This chest of drawers is characterized by a light honey color that highlights the elegant geometric decoration inlaid in the wood that embellishes each side of the chest of drawers. The decoration is of clear classic taste and customizes the chest of drawers without weighing it down excessively.
