Elegant ancient Italian Secretaire dating back to the early 19th century, empire period. An extremely refined secretaire. Made of fine solid mahogany wood characterized by an elegant linearity, two majestic lateral columns decorate the front and add grandeur.
The upper surface is in precious dark gray marble that elegantly contrasts with the color of the wood. Equipped with a long and narrow drawer in the upper part, while in the lower part two doors reveal a practical compartment and an additional internal drawer. The central part opens according to the characteristic of all Secretaire to reveal a surface coated in leather with a golden decoration in the center. A versatile surface that can be used as a support to write quickly, to consult documents or can simply be left open for aesthetic pleasure. The internal central part is equipped with many small ideal drawers to store small objects. The secret consists of the first long internal drawer which can only be opened through a hidden opening (see photo).
