Solid walnut drop-leaf desk dating to the second half of the 19th century. This piece is an example of 19th-century historicist cabinetmaking, inspired by the curved lines and refined aesthetics of the 18th-century repertoire. The front features three large drawers with geometric moldings and brass hardware. The slanted top opens to reveal the desk interior. The sides are made of solid walnut panels, and the base rests on a shaped plinth with cabriole legs. Condition: Patina and solid structure. Shows normal signs of wear consistent with age.
