Item description

Elegant toilet Louis XVI in Bois de Rose and various woods This refined toilet, typical of the era Louis XVI (late 18th century), embodies the elegance and characteristic functionality of the period. Made in the precious Bois de Rose and Noce, it presents an exceptional workmanship and a rich inlay decoration. Characteristics: Piano opening: the top of the furniture consists of three inlaid panels. The two lateral panels open in the swing, revealing storage compartments ideal for cosmetics and accessories. The central panel is also openable. The surface of the plane is embellished with a spine motif or "diamond" obtained through the orientation of wood veins, framed by geometric threads. Elaborate inlays: the entire surface of the furniture, including the hips, the front and the back is decorated with threads in bois de rose. In front of the scan with drawers: the cabinet front has an elegant shape with lateral wandering, which are curious inwards creating a central opening typical of the toilets to allow the approach of the chair. Three drawers, also inlaid with the same spine motif of fish and threads, are expertly integrated into the structure: one central, wider, and two lateral sizes. The drawers are equipped with golden bronze circular handles. Tapered legs: the toilet rests on four truncopiramidal legs, slightly tapered, which give the furniture a slender and light appearance, in line with the Louis XVI style. Materials: Bois de Rose and walnuts. Style: Louis XVI, recognizable for geometric forms, the lightness of the structures, the use of firing and the predilection for straight lines and sweet curves. Conditions: The furniture is in good general condition, restored and polished with shellac finish. Emilian area of the end of the eighteenth century. The dimensions are: 90 x 56, height 79 cm ..
