The S320 dining chair, designed by Wulf Schneider and Ullrich Böhme for Thonet in 1984, is a perfect example of harmonious fusion of tradition and modernity. The furniture combines a solid beech and steel structure, and its navy blue coating is distinguished by its expressive character. Thonet, icon of the world of design, has been synonymous with innovation and quality for decades. It has obtained a particular recognition thanks to the production in series of curved furniture, which have changed the way of perceiving the furniture. The model presented here refers to these traditions, while remaining in line with the Memphis style that reigned sovereign in the 80s. Features and restoration: functionality: the chairs are stackable, which makes them easier to store. The wooden elements are protected by rubber spacers to avoid scratches. Finish: the beech legs have been carefully restored: they were cleaned, reattached the frame and finished with oil and shellac. Coating: new coating and high quality fabric covering. The backrest is decorated with an interesting reason that underlines the uniqueness of the furniture.
