At the heart of the set is the legendary, fast Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 1:2.8 f=50 mm lens with a distinctive aluminum barrel. The camera works with standard 35mm film (type 135). About Ihagee Dresden: Founded in Dresden in 1912 by Dutch entrepreneur Johan Steenbergen, Ihagee (Industrie- und Handelsgesellschaft) has made a name for itself in the history of world photography. It was there that the famous "Exakta" was created – the world's first mass-produced single-lens reflex camera using 35mm film. The Exa was designed as its smaller, lighter, and more portable sibling, while retaining its unique, exceptionally elegant design and interchangeable viewfinder system (including the characteristic chimney). The focus and aperture rings on the lens operate smoothly. The device has not been tested with photographic film.
