There are no 70s more than that. This Lounge Strässle Lotus Lounge armchair is covered in a fantastic 70s velvet fabric. The chair is in excellent condition. The delicate fiberglass shells do not present significant cracks or signs of usury, with only a small chips of paint on the back of the chair. The shells are of a brown chocolate color which, typical of the period, is combined with bright colors ranging from purple to orange in the velvet tissue. The fabric is in excellent condition. This chair is an icon of the space era and the 70s and is much more a sculpture than a piece of seat.
The French designer Andre Vandabeuck designed this chair in 1969 for the main Swiss Strässle producer. He has worked for many years in the automotive design for Porsche, Bugatti, Fact Vega and others before dedicating himself to the design of furniture. This dynamism is evident in the lines of the Lotus chair.
