Set of 2 Vertebra System armchairs for Open Ark Castelli by Emilio Ambasz and Giancarlo Piretti of the 90s, the design was inspired by the vertebrae.
It was one of the first automatically adjustable ergonomic chairs, with the reclining back and the sliding seat, perfectly adapting to the body movements.
This chair won the International Design Award for Excellence in Design in 1977.
The chair is covered in Blu Harris tweed.
In the lower part there is the original label of the manufacturer which includes the 1976 date, plus the label of the production date.
Very good conditions of the object, there are usury signs relating to the use visible in the photo.
