Sideboard in teak by Silvio Cavatorta, 1950s 1183926

Item description

Stunning Italian living room teakwood Highboard designed and manufactured by Silvio Cavatorta in the 1950s. The whole structure is supported by four black painted metal uprights and the two side cabinets are equipped with hinged doors and handles with brass plates recently polished, hiding internally shelves in lacquered maple (more pictures soon). The one on the right is also equipped with 4 convenient drawers. In addition, the yellow central flap door is fine decorated with a floral inlaid and hides internally a compartment equipped with mirrors on all four sides and a suspended glass shelf (more pictures soon). It is a truly unique and multifunctional piece, offering plenty of storage space, and now it's ready to use. Its conditions of the period are very good, with slight sign of wear consistent with age and gentle use.
