Item description

It is probably an ancient silver cradle-shaped pendant, decorated with a hand-painted miniature of the Virgin and Child. Similar pieces generally date from the 19th or early 20th century. Details: Materials and workmanship: The outer frame is made of finely crafted silver, evoking the Victorian or Art Nouveau style typical of devotional jewelry of the time. Miniature: The central image is a hand-painted miniature (probably on porcelain, enamel, or ivory), a true wearable work of art depicting classic Marian iconography.
