Marcel Breuer, 4 chairs mod. B32 Cesca by Thonet, 1970s
The encounter between Vienna straw and tubular metal, tradition and innovation, Thonet and Bauhaus, is what characterizes the legendary B32 chair, called the Cesca, designed by Marcel Lajos Breuer in 1928. The Cesca is certainly among his best works, together with the B3 armchair, later also known as the Wassily. The set of four chairs featured Thonet branding emblazoned under the seat and the label on the metal part.
