Splendid and elegant antique wall-mounted hand wash (aquamanile), presumably dating back to the first half of the 20th century. A piece of great charm that combines period practicality with a strong decorative and symbolic value. The object is composed of a refined shaped solid wood base on which two brass elements are mounted: Upper tank equipped with lid and perfectly integrated butterfly tap. It is surmounted by a cross decoration, which suggests its original use in religious contexts (sacristies) or in noble houses of the time. Coordinated lower basin (collection tray), with a stylised shell shape. The brass features a splendid patina original to the time, certifying its authenticity and era. The wood is solid and well preserved. Ideal as a furnishing element for entrances, taverns, country houses or to enrich a collection of sacred and ancient objects.
