The Tavolino Demetrio, designed in 1964 by Vico Magistretti for Studio Artemide Milano, is a historical piece exhibited in the permanent collections of the most important museums in the world, including the MoMA in New York.
This model 70 represents the largest and most prestigious version of the series, characterised by a monoblock structure with essential and radical lines. Made of reinforced resin (GRP) with glass fibers, this technical material allowed Magistretti to apply the concept of "strength by shape": that is, giving solidity to the object not by increasing the thickness of the plastic, but by expertly curving it (like the Gaudí's "S" leg or the corners of the Demetrius).
The model we propose, belonging to the first series of the model and chocolate brown in color, is in excellent condition with more or less deep signs due to use and time.
The manufacturer's logo with the designer's name and patent number is printed under the top.
