Item description
The box, with a cubic shape, features two different night scenes painted on the main sides showing gondoliers and ladies in Venetian boats with landmarks characteristic of the city, such as the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square. The box lid has a knob made up of three doves that reflect the colors used in the side scenes (white, pink and blue). This ceramic is part of a large series of boxes produced since 1931. The work is found in the product catalogue printed between 1933 and 1935
