Refined ceiling light (or applique) with a square base, an expression of Gaetano Sciolari's brutalist-geometric design for the Italian production of the 70s. This model stands out for the strong material contrast between the mirror-polished chromed steel supporting structure and the four massive "ice glass" diffusers.
The glass processing, characterized by an irregular and vibrant texture, allows a complex and scenographic refraction of light, typical of Sciolari creations which transform lighting into an architectural sculpture.
Conditions:
The item is in excellent vintage condition. The chrome base has been carefully cleaned and retains its original shine. The glass is intact and solid; There are two slight signs of use (small chips) on the internal edges of two cubes, completely invisible once the lamp is installed thanks to the irregular nature of the glass processing. Original period wiring checked and working.
