An icon of Italian design, designed by Vico Magistretti for Artemide Milano, the Selene chair is exhibited in the most important museums and design collections in the world, such as the MOMA in New York and the Vitra Design Museum
The project dates back to 1966 and series production began in 1969
The chair from those early years is made of a single mold of plastic material, Reglar® or GRP (a polyester resin reinforced with glass fiber). The choice of material and monocoque structure were revolutionary for the time, providing stability with thin legs reminiscent of wooden chairs, providing stability without the massive appearance of other plastic chairs of the time
The chairs we offer are all in excellent condition with more or less significant signs due to time and use: we photographed the most significant ones, which are still barely noticeable. A chair does not have rubber feet. They are made in Reglar®, and not in ABS as in later productions
Under the seat there is the brand with the name of the manufacturer and designer
