Item description

Stunning original Johann Loetz Witwe Art Nouveau lamp from around 1900. The Bohemian glasshouse, founded by Johann Loetz and later led to fame as "Loetz Witwe", was one of the greatest producers of iridescent Art Nouveau glass. This elegant lamp features a tall, graceful form with a spherical knop and flaring base. The body displays a rich amethyst-purple ground with beautiful shifts to cobalt blue and fiery ruby-red, highlighted by the classic Loetz "peacock feather" iridescent pattern. A rare and highly collectible piece of Austrian-Bohemian Art Nouveau. Perfect statement lamp for any sophisticated interior.
