A significant and rare desk (or dining table) from the ‘Icarus’ office system, designed by Ettore Sottsass and Michele De Lucchi for Olivetti Synthesis in 1982. The Icarus series represents a milestone in industrial design, marking the moment when the "Office of the Future" moved away from rigid, grey functionalism toward a more expressive, human-centric aesthetic. The structure is composed of heavy-gauge tubular steel legs finished in a soft powder-blue lacquer, connected by oversized circular joints that emphasize the industrial yet friendly nature of the design.
