We present this spectacular antique wardrobe in solid walnut, made in the mid-19th century in Italy, during the Louis Philippe period.
This cabinet is extremely rare due to its compact size. Free of excessive ornamentation, it stands out for its simplicity and clean lines. The two central doors are paneled, with symmetrical and mirror-like vertical veins that enhance the natural beauty of the material. A distinctive element are the two large decorative lateral columns, entirely turned with knot, sphere and spool motifs. The upper part ends with a linear and molded frame, embellished immediately below with a delicate decoration of carved spheres. The base rests on onion-shaped feet, typical of the 19th century.
The wood has a splendid warm medium-dark brown shade which, combined with its linearity, makes it easily adaptable to both classic period interiors and modern environments where a distinctive element is desired.
