Designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1963 for St. Catherine's College in Oxford, the Oxford Chair is one of the absolute masterpieces of Scandinavian design and one of the most iconic seats produced by Fritz Hansen. We offer an elegant set of four original chairs, characterized by the unmistakable high backrest, the black fabric upholstery and the four-spoke aluminum swivel base. The chairs retain the original Fritz Hansen labels, a guarantee of authenticity and construction quality. The conditions are very good: the coating shows normal signs of use compatible with age, while the stems show some slight points of surface oxidation, which can easily be improved with simple cleaning and polishing. The structures are solid, stable and fully functional. Ideal for the dining room, study, executive office or contemporary environments, they represent an investment in one of the great design classics of the twentieth century.
