Spectacular and rare pair of two/three seater sofas (canapé) made between the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century in full Louis XV / Rococo style.
The two sofas stand out for their rich wooden structure entirely carved and finished with elegant leaf gilding. The line is moving and enveloping, characterized by shaped backrests with vegetal motifs and carved cymatium, curled armrests and 'somersault' legs connected by a finely decorated lower band. The covering is in green textured fabric finely worked with floral motifs, perfect for enhancing the contrast with the gilding of the structure.
