Japanese Satsuma vase from the first half of the 20th century. Finely decorated, the ivory surface shows a thin and regular craquelure, typical of traditional Japanese Satsuma. The golden edges and geometric patterns are applied with good precision and without a coarse effect. The writing on the Satsuma handpaited background may indicate a production intended for export. Height approximately 23 cm.
