Splendid and rare vintage Murano glass carafe from the 1960s-70s
The design is strongly attributable to the famous manufacture of Carlo Moretti.
The object stands out for its elegant chromatic and material contrast:
the globular body is made of a vibrant orange glass with a satin (etched) finish with a velvety feel, while the upper rim and large handle are in hot-applied polished cobalt blue glass. The base clearly shows the characteristic raw "pontollo mark", an unmistakable sign of the craftsmanship and freehand blowing of the Murano glass masters. The original paper label has been lost over time, as is common with these pieces.
