Item description

A magnificent Chinese rug from the early 1900s, attributed to Nichols imported collections. In the early 1900s, Nichols Chinese rugs were sold in Europe and America for their extravagant colors and natural motifs, which complemented the Art Deco style well. This rug retains the classic import numbers stamped on Nichols rugs; its less vibrant colors and floral designs are characteristic of the later productions.
