VeArt Scilla Post Modern Chandelier - this very rare investment piece was designed by the highly influential multidisciplinary artist - Massimo Giacon - for VeArt/Artemide. This very rare example of "Scilla" is Giacon’s most famous piece for VeArt. True to his signature style, the Scilla relies on vibrant colours blocking hand-blown Murano glass elements in saturated teal blues and yellows. The silhouette subverts traditional Venetian chandeliers by organising organic, bulbous glass shapes into a geometric playful structure. The central structure and canopy are a contrasting teal blue, and there are teal blue decorative accents at the light end of each banana arm. The overall design is reminiscent of mid-century modern or Italian postwar lighting.
The Scilla is in excellent condition with no visible chips or damage. The illustrative pictures display the Scilla after it has been It has been fully assembled and electrically certified and then the glass parts after checking and disassembly ready for shipment.
Please note that the Scilla will be shipped disassembled into its main constituent parts requiring reassembly by the purchaser. This is to ensure that the delicate Murano glass parts will not be damaged in shipment.
