Item description

Gorgeous and rare vintage pyramid-shaped table lamp dating back to the 1960s/1970s. A true piece of sculptural art, often attributed to French design or iconic Italian production of the era (Tao Tesserine style). The lamp is entirely handcrafted: hundreds of thick strips/tesserae of clear glass, with light aquamarine reflections, are meticulously overlapped and individually tied with a metal filament to a solid internal support structure. When lit, the glass's geometry creates a unique, warm, and incredibly evocative light diffusion, perfect for enhancing Midcentury Modern, Space Age, or minimalist environments.
