Gilded bronze sculpture originating from Thailand in the 17th century, depicting Buddha in the Bhumisparsha mudra posture, seated on a multi-layered base. It is one of the rarest for its symbolism. The sculpture is in good condition, but the part representing the human figure has lost its gilded part. The statue has slight defects and abrasions due to age and use. At the back of the sculpture there are hooks made from the same bronze sculpture that serve as a support for a hypothetical wall fastening.
