Item description
Pair of Napoleon III French solid mahogany armchairs. It has a double crosspiece back with elegantly carved ears ending in a finely chased gilt bronze cymatium. The legs are truncated cone-shaped with scalloped edges and ending in a bronze cymatium. The taste and proportions are reminiscent of the great French culture of the second half of the 19th century. Condition: Restored by our master craftsmen using the traditional method of shellac and alcohol. Origin: 19th century France. Measurements: 70x60 H108cm. Document: Certificate of authenticity.
