Item description
Futurist bronze sculpture resting on a fragment of a wooden railway crosspiece. The theme is speed and the train in vogue among the leading Italian Futurists in the early 1920s. The execution and quality of the work is masterful. The impact and energy the sculpture exudes are certainly remarkable. The signature at the base (see photo) is difficult to interpret.
