Item description

Walnut coffee table; it has a very clean and linear shape, aesthetically refined and pleasant; it has two round tops, of which the upper one is the primary support surface, while the other secondary, helps to make the whole structure very solid; the solidity is also given by the shape and massive design of the four legs that support the upper surface, intersect with the lower one and are connected by curving to a compact and robust cross-shaped base. The coffee table was made in an artisan workshop in Lissone (Monza-Brianza-Italy) between 1930 and 1935 (the Lissone area has always been famous for the production of high quality carpentry; the artisans were inspired by the desire for conceive a small object with strong and simple lines and have given the coffee table a timeless elegance; its design plays between austerity and rigor, and its exaggerated linearity gives the object a dynamic and elegant character. the wood of "Juglans regia", called "national walnut" or "European walnut", a very precious wood, among the best in the world in terms of quality, ease of processing and resistance.
