Item description

Iconic and precious crystal goblets; they have been made from the highest quality lead crystal with a thickness that is thick enough to allow them to be ground deeper than normal, which allows the light to reflect in a much brighter and more brilliant manner; for this to happen, the geometry of the grinding has also been specially designed and executed. The glasses are a delightful combination of intricate cuts and engravings and feature some of the most beautiful motifs of the 18th and 19th centuries. Every detail of the decoration, such as the glittering star wheel, is cut entirely by hand, with hours of specialized labor required to complete each piece achieving a very high standard of quality. The glasses were made in London (England) between 1995 and 1996 by the William Yeoward company, whose name they bear on the bottom (see photo), and are one of the most attractive designs in the "William Yeoward Crystal" Collection as they combine classic beauty with elegant style. Experience and synergies are the pure expressions of craftsmanship of the Yeoward workshop's Master Grinders, distinguishing them by their attention to detail that gives crystal purity and beauty; by meticulously performing the grinding, engraving, cutting, and finishing they are able to achieve very complex workmanship, full of wonderful harmony and extraordinary color effects making each artifact a work of art. William Yeoward is regarded as one of London's leading creative forces, he built a reputation as a style maker, retailer, and designer of beautiful home products. He was known for his sophisticated, elegant, and highly individual style. A man who cared deeply and strived tirelessly to perfect his craft and approached his entrepreneurial pursuits with passion and humor. After school, William embarked almost immediately on a career in interior design and retail, opening his first store on King's Road, Chelsea in 1985. William Yeoward met third-generation crystal designer and maker Timothy Jenkins, who immediately knew they shared the same passions and aspirations, and thus William Yeoward Crystal was born. The crystal was first shown in 1996 in London and was awarded "Best New Product" by the British magazine House & Garden. At the same time, the American magazine Elle Décor proudly announced that the collection embodied the "zenith in crystal creation," in January 2008 it was awarded a Royal Warrant of Appointment as a crystal supplier by His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales. William Yeoward Crystal has grown to become the most fascinating crystal in the world. The design behind this collection of lead crystal glasses is derived from antique crystal pieces made in England and Ireland during the 18th and early 19th centuries. Each William Yeoward piece is handcrafted, making many of the pieces collector's items that have an elegance and style that blend beautifully with antique and contemporary interiors. The glasses are in very good condition.
