Item description
Classical and elegant 19th-century Italian console table. Made of walnut. The console table is made in the typical Ionic column shape. Crafted with great skill, the console table hides a secret. The column opens through a door and inside there are several shelves for storing objects. This piece of furniture is ideal for bar corners or living rooms with a classic taste. The Ionic order is the second of the three classical architectural orders. This order absorbs and reworks oriental motifs; the rich decoration adorns the architectural structure without weighing it down. It traditionally refers to the complex of artistic and cultural traditions associated with the Ionian ethnic group, settled on the coast of Asia Minor (Ionian), in close contact with the cultures of the East. Slight wear and patina consistent with age and use, slight scratches.
