Abalone and Rhodoid Handbag by Truzzi Vintage - Milan, 1980s
Magnificent bag created by hand, with applications of genuine Abalone elements (64 elements of 3x3 cm each) The fabric inside is cream silk satin.
The handle is Rhodoid, a material very much in vogue in those years.
When Vintage was yet to become a fashion, the Truzzi company created the Vintage line.
In 1890 Luigia Truzzi founded the Truzzi shirt factory in Milan; in '48
there was a change of ownership but keeping the high tradition unchanged.
Truzzi's customers were extremely well-known people; members of the Royal Household, the Falcks, the Pirellis, Feltrinelli, Von Karajan, Enrico Cuccia, and many others of that social class.
Since '97 Truzzi no longer exists.
