Produced in series, the Selene is technically made with a single molding and pressing action of polyester reinforced with fiberglass. The designer decided to solve the structural problem of the legs by opting for an "S" shape which gives greater resistance to the plastic sheet which is only 3 millimeters thick. The "S" leg maintains the rigidity of the seat and prevents it from bending under the user's weight. Today it is a cult object, a real collectible design product. Selene is a chair designed to be used both indoors and outdoors, practical and easy to handle and its particular shape allows it to be stacked. The soft and rounded lines are typical of the Space Age of the 70s. Our chairs were designed by Vico Magistretti and produced by Artemide (Pregnana Milanese, Milan) between 1969 and 1970, they bear the mark of originality imprinted on the back of the seat.
