Vishnu is both protector and preserver of the world, restorer of the moral order - he is omnipotent and all-pervasive by nature. Vishnu has perfect balance and proportions, which are the key to a beautiful sculpture of Vishnu. The casting is beautiful, as can be seen in the details of the face and hands. Every detail is rendered perfectly. The patina and details of this piece are particularly attractive.
