Item description

One of Superstudio's most iconic and rare products is this splendid Bazaar model sofa, created and designed in 1968. The sofa is made of glossy white glass resin in the outer structure, while inside it is upholstered in a soft, antique pink synthetic fabric that almost resembles a rug, creating a convivial confrontation in total comfort. The Bazaar is designed to accommodate both individuals and groups, with high backrests that protect from the outside and insulate in a comfortable environment for discussion and sharing. Impossible to ignore and conspicuous in form, the Bazaar is a true domestic sculpture that surprises and makes the beholder reflect. The unmistakable stroke of genius, which we also find in this creation, manifests itself when the viewer cannot look away from an object that should be simple: the Bazaar admirably fulfils its practical task and, at the same time, also assumes a more poetic one, namely a role dedicated to inspiration and contemplation. When one sits on Bazaar, one enters a kind of parallel world, as one feels totally enveloped by an incredible softness, which continues to the end of the backrest. The closed Bazaar creates a kind of closed circle, with an open roof; it is reminiscent of the shape of an important carriage, simply unique and unmissable. The Bazaar consists of 10 modules, which can be customised according to personal taste. The seat has a white base with a domed backrest that creates a true relaxation zone. Here one can comfortably converse, relax, sleep and do everything a sofa allows. The sofa is modular in every way and is at least as suitable for eclectic homes as it is.
