Item description
Rare mid-century French floor lamp attributed to the great French designer Gilbert Poillerat in the 1940s. The lamp consists of a base, created by a wrought iron stem, which rests on the three feet of the base, which create a very elegant and classical, typically French, curl. The stem, as it rises, engages in the fantastic pleated velvet shade, original of the period, in a yellow ochre colour, which shows clear signs of wear and time. The lamp houses three lights, creating a playful and very elegant effect at the same time. The lampshade is adorned with balls of the same fabric that hang elegantly from the hat.
