With Trac, Achille Castiglioni updates the notion of the folding table, experimenting with his workhorse: the redesign of anonymous objects that have survived use and time and can be enhanced with minimal modifications. With a modernity that anticipates the times, he experiments with concepts such as multifunctionality, transformability, mobility. Lightweight, square-shaped, Trac has simple, elegant folding legs and refined joints that are easy to manoeuvre. Ideal for storage once folded. Achille Castiglioni, son of the sculptor Giannino and Livia Bolla, graduated from the Milan Polytechnic in 1944; after graduation he worked in the studio of his older brothers Livio and Pier Giacomo in Milan, devoting himself to urban planning, architecture, exhibitions and product design projects. In 1944, together with his brothers, he participated in the 7th Milan Triennale. Achille Castiglioni's design has always been based on the search for functionality, also through the functional reuse of objects already in production. In 1956 he was one of the founders of ADI, the Association for Industrial Design. BBB Emmebonacina, with its 50 years of experience in the production of contemporary furniture, can boast a collection that brings together many of the successes of Italian design around the world, placing it in a prominent position on the international production scene. The company's spirit of interpreting contemporary culture is demonstrated by excellent collaborations such as those with, among many others, Achille Castiglioni, Paolo Ferrari, De Pas D'Urbino Lomazzi, Italo Luppi, Carlo Santi, Giogio Decursu, Laura Griziotti, Gianmarco Blini, Thomas Mittermair and Massimo Colombo.
