Narciso wall mirror by Sergio Mazza for Artemide, Italy 1960s. Sergio Mazza Italian designer born in 1931 in Milan. In 1955 he opened his own business and from 1961 he worked alongside G. Gramigna in the Smc studio, working in furniture and industrial design. Among the many honours and awards he received, it is worth mentioning the Compasso d'Oro award in 1960 for the Artemide Delta lamp and the silver medal for the Italian Apartment at the 10th Milan Triennale. In 1967 he started designing for Olivari. In the field of publishing he co-edited the magazine 'Ottagono' from its foundation until 1988. Artemide was founded by Ernesto Gismondi and Sergio Mazza in 1959 and is a company specialised essentially in the production of lighting accessories (lamps, chandeliers). This brand has been characterised from the beginning by a strong focus on design that has enabled it to win numerous international awards for its products over the years. One of the most famous names in Italian design, Artemide is a world leader in high-end residential and professional lighting. Mirror with nickel-plated brass frame. Dimensions Ø 42.5 cm, D 3.5 cm. The mirror is in very good condition, as can be seen from the attached photos. It bears normal traces of time and use, all visible in the photos. Evaluate through photos.
