Pair of abat jour with hand-painted porcelain sculptures, signed Giuseppe Cappè. Italy, 20th century. Giuseppe Cappè, born in Milan in 1921, worked from the mid-1940s onwards in Milan and Lomagna, in the province of Lecco, creating porcelain works inspired by Neapolitan Baroque production and 18th-century Capodimonte in his workshop 'Cappé Porcellane Artistiche' and as a collaborator of the IPA studio and Studio King, with the qualification of chief sculptor. He died in Lomagna in 2008. Dimensions H tot 45.5 cm, Ø 30.5 cm. The child is in very good condition, as can be seen from the enclosed photos; it shows a couple of small chips at a couple of leaves. The child has a couple of breaks on the hands and a repair on the tree. Assess through photos.
