Very rare Thonet chairs from the end of the 19th century, entirely original in every part... there is not a screw that is not theirs. Chairs made not in series but on commission for the high nobility of Vienna, the so-called 'Adelfamilien'. According to the label and the type of stamp, both on the chair and on the leather, they can be dated to 1981. High workmanship of curved beech wood with details such as turned front legs and rectangular backrest. Original vintage leather with signature of the master who did the workmanship and moulding of the famous Thonet Lily. Exclusive brass flower studs on seat and backrest. The attention to detail can be seen on the backrest, which has also been worked at the rear. A stud is missing on one seat but is not noticeable and one seat has a ruined bottom. These are details that are not noticeable and have complications on the chair but in the interests of fairness we wanted to make the eventual lucky buyer aware of them.
