Item description

Louis XVI commode made in Naples in the second half of the 18th century (1770s-90s). Wooden structure panelled in walnut root, cherry wood and ebony. Front with two prominent drawers arranged on two rails, both emphasized by two rounds of thread inlays; the same graphic pattern is repeated on the sides. Typical truncated pyramidal feet ennobled by thread inlays arranged at the top to emphasize the corners. Restored by traditional satin-wax method.
