Extraordinary mid-century dining set painted black. The extendable Danish table and eight Paris chairs will enrich any dining area, offering Danish quality and Hotel Paris elegance. The table is made of teak veneer with remarkably finished edges in solid teak wood and has solid teak legs, painted black. The table has the possibility to be extended; two additional extensions, 52 cm wide, lengthen the table to 239 cm, providing comfortable space for 6-8 persons. The beautiful grain of the top and the high quality craftsmanship enhance the elegance of the mid-century Danish design, combined with an elegant set of eight dining chairs made by Thonet in the 1950s, probably from the Hotel Plaza Athénée in Paris, which form an incredible composition of Danish and Parisian classics.
The chairs have an elegant and simple design. They have been entirely refurbished and upholstered in natural Italian fabric. The interior is made of Franco Fabbri's boucle wool, which gives it an even more elegant look. The wood has been cleaned and freshly painted with black varnish, and new foams have been added to improve the comfort of the seats, even though the seats are on original sprigs. Some differ in the method of assembly of the frame and the small size. Overall the set is in very good condition with slight traces of use.
Dimensions of fully extended table: H: 73/W: 239/D: 90 cm.
