Pair of contemporary Sahco Zero The Tired Man armchairs by Flemming Lassen. Beech legs and beige bouclé fabric upholstery. Lassen designed this padded armchair in 1935 for the Copenhagen cabinetmakers' guild competition; this is a 2023 reissue. It features organic, bear-like shapes, and caused a sensation then as now with its curved shape and voluminous armrests. Sitting in this armchair should, in Lassen's words, make you feel "as warm and safe as a polar bear cub in its mother's arms in the middle of the ice cap". Seat height: 41 cm.
