Item description

French sculpture from the end of the 19th century. Chiselled and patinated bronze work depicting peasant posing with plough and grain. A fine sculpture ideal for inclusion in a collection, for antique dealers and collectors. Finished work from the centre, fine and minute details of the character's dress and face. Probably originated with a marble base or as a central clock decoration (now missing), a very pleasant object. In beautiful patina and in good state of preservation.
