Metaphysical sculpture made by artist Mario Rosso between the 1970s and the 1990s. It features a triangular wooden base on which towers a painted metal pyramid decorated with silver and a large quartz crystal. The metaphysical-style painting on the sculpture depicts a desert landscape with rocks that are made to descend from the sky instead of the earth. Metaphysical painting, an avant-garde painting current widespread practically only in Italy, depicts objects sharply and statically but going beyond their merely physical-realistic appearance. With a strong impact and reflection, the sculpture is a curious object and is ideal for adding particularity to one's spaces. Although the signature is present, there is still no relevant notion about the artist that could place him in a specific period and environment. Also present under the base are a stamp of the Art Gallery of origin and a label that reads "Misani Gioielli," probably the maker of the silver detailing.
