Ice-effect Murano glass cascade chandelier by Mazzega, 1970s. Splendid square spiral chandelier designed and made in Murano by Mazzega. It has never been used at home, it comes from a major disused lighting shop and is in perfect working condition. It has a boxy design characteristic of geometric shapes popular in mid-century modern design; the spiral motif extends from the central structure. The ice effect of glass is a frosted appearance, reminiscent of frozen surfaces; this gives the glass a unique and visually intriguing structure. The positioning of the lights inside the glass elements creates a dramatic play of light and shadow with great visual impact. This chandelier was designed to be a statement piece, so the size is notable and an eye-catcher in the space. Height without chain, of the glass part only: 70 cm.
