Oscar teak mirror by Campo & Graffi for Home Torino, 1958
Oscar model mirror designed by Campo & Graffi. A refined mirror with a curved triangular shape produced by Home Torino in 1958 to a design by Franco Campo and Carlo Graffi. Extremely rare as the collaboration between the two designers and the furniture manufacturer lasted only 8 years. Made of teak wood and silvered crystal. On the back is the maker's label and was published in Domus No. 346. The wall mirror is in excellent condition; it has no structural defects but shows slight signs of ageing visible in the photo. Franco Campo and Carlo Graffi met as university students at the Turin Polytechnic, where they studied engineering and architecture with Carlo Mollino, with whom they worked after graduation. In 1956, they founded Home in Turin, an innovative furniture atelier. In 1964, the factory was destroyed by a fire that also divided their lives.
